Brass is the standard metal used for engraving plates. We can cut the plate to size. On our order page, we have standard sizes listed with pricing. Nickel-Silver Engraving Plates
Sometimes, the gold-colored brass is not suitable for your engraving job; nickel-silver is an excellent alternative. It engraves just as good as brass. We can cut this metal plate down to size. Leaded Brass Engraving Plates
Engraved leaded brass is a step up from regular engraved brass. The lead makes the brass a little softer, and we are able to get cleaner and deeper cuts within the metal. Outdoor Plaques
The above plates are for indoor use. They can be used outdoors, but they will only last about five years before they deteriorate. If they are in direct sunlight, the deterioration process will occur sooner.
We have outdoor engraving plates that are made to hold up very well against the elements. These plates (or plaques) will withstand ultra-violet light and the weather for years to come. Photo Metal Outdoor Plates
These outdoor metal plates were developed for use on submarines. They needed to stand up to saltwater and all the other corrosives found in an undersea environment. These plates are also used along forest trails with a picture of a plant and a description. Some other common uses include park bench plaques, memorial garden plates, and much more.
Photo metal plates come in a silver finish or a gold-tone finish. As the name implies, photos in black and white can be reproduced onto these plates. The metal is about .020" thick, so you will need to mount the plate on something sturdy such as a bench or a wall.
